Back in Action

Take note, spammers—I’ll continue to build defenses!

Unfortunately, I’ve been spending way more time tweaking this blog, rather than writing anything in it… I’m trying some tricksy anti-spam measures, and, well, they’re apparently a little too tricksy for me. I broke the comment option. For this to be a problem, I suppose we’d have to assume that 1) this blog actually got a litte traffic, and 2) someone would be sufficiently motivated to comment. I did sign up with Secret Pal 4, so there’s a chance someone could drop by.
Fixing that is my first priority, but if anyone does happen to be reading, expect to see a lot of changes to the design of the blog soon, in addition to some real content! Questionnaire coming soon.
Add one more to the hat patterns: London Beanie
Here’s a quick collection of links to beanie hat patterns:

Note to Meghan: if I stay up late, I just may finish your legwarmers… think fast knitting thoughts!
So, I finally did it and got a blog up and running. Enough lurking from the shadows. This first post is an exercise to help moderate my perfectionism: the blog design is the default (horrors! I’m a graphic designer!), I don’t have it set up to show an image gallery, I haven’t yet customized all the link-y things on the side… but I’m starting, which is the important thing.
I’ve been an on-again, off-again knitter since I was 5. The last 10 years have been especially sporadic, with furious bouts of knitting in preparation for Christmas. Gift knitting is not my most creative expression of the craft, unfortunately, and this year I’d like to change the type of projects that I’m working on. I want to make some things for me. I want to design and produce some things that have been bouncing around my head. I want to push things further.
So many possibilities!
